the stresses of Army
Date: Wednesday, March 25, 2009 || Time: 5:40 PM
hmmm. army life isn't exactly stress-free, just in case some of you are thinking life must be damn slack for us now. Well, it has its own share of problems too. lol. sometimes I do wonder why I opted for command school. Was it the pay? Or was it the power? Maybe I didn't think so much at the time about the heavier responsibilities that we would have to shoulder. For us, the lower ones at the bottom of the food chain, army is all about doing what is expected of you and knowing how to answer to your superiors to stay away from trouble isn't it. Well, ORD isn't that far away I guess. This just happens to be a phase of our life that we all have to go through to come out stronger, both mentally and physically. So let's just... suck it up! :)

Today I took a little nap after coming back from camp before going for driving. The lesson was to start at 1435. I started napping at like 1100, and set the alarm for 1300. Guess what I totally didn't hear a single thing. And what time did I wake up? 1430! Lucky my neighbour was practising some tune on his flute so that sort of woke me up. I chionged man, got changed and rushed downstairs for the cab. Reached like two fifty plus. what a joke man, the instructor was already preparing to leave to go rest when just nice I reach. haha. thanks to my neighbour for playing that not so nice tune that woke me up, or the money really go down the drain. =D

Gravical 2009 @ SMU!
Date: Sunday, March 8, 2009 || Time: 2:20 AM
Gravical 09 @ SMU! special thanks to Ee Lin for asking us down. :) lol. not bad la quite fun haha got a chance to check out the campus. I guess Rongjun's right, the environment's kind of different, like more working world rather than school kind of environment, partly also because of the fact that it's located right in the middle of all the office buildings. haha. oh yes. though I'm not exactly a gym fan, I think SMU has a beautiful gym!

well I was spotter for Inter Men and whistle-blower for Open Women. haha quite redundant actually the spotter coz all of them so pro already so didn't really have anyone fall. even if have also they should be know how to fall one la haha so we there for wayang only. LOL. crazy weather. one moment it was scorching and the next moment the whole place like wet market. surprised Beatrice didn't participate though, would have been a breeeeeze. haha.

anyway, it was nice catching up with the rest at the food court and Cartel. the tom yam soup was damn imba. super sour and spicy till we had to play zhong ji mi ma. I drank 3 spoons and my stomach already had the hot and spicy feeling. poor Darren, drank almost half a bowl. LOL. the brownie at Cartel was yummy too, but wasted no more cakes already if not got half price haha.

had a little heart-to-heart talk with Rongjun too, thanks bro. :D

luckily we left just in time, one minute later we woud have missed the last train to Marina Bay. steam sia we had to literally sprint all the way from the NEL exit to the other North-South line. but fun leh, first time I ever ran for the last train. haha. and Graham was cursing and swearing at this botak in front of us who didn't bother to keep to the left on the escalator since he was taking the train going towards Jurong East. haha damn funny, kept calling him chao recruit. Rongjun said, "eh not everyone who is botak is a recruit." LOL. joke sia. :)
