GENTING!!! though we were only sort of in Genting for 34 hours (coz we arrived at 5am and left around 3pm), it was fun. :D
kicked off the day with a Dim Sum spread at some chinese restaurant called 好友记 but Rongjun read it as 记友好 because that's how it looked on the signboard lol. we were wandering around like hungry ghosts before that because they didn't open till 7am or so. all the shops were closed, so we ended up playing Indian Poker and some other hand-tapping game outside the restaurant.. from which our dear Ee Lin, being deprived of food and sleep and hence brain a bit slow, managed to earn her chou yi, chou er and then a forfeit! which was to tell the waiter we didn't have enough money to pay for our food. haha.. the waiter also like half seh.. just stun there dunno what to do. lol..
then we headed for the theme park, which was still foggy early in the morning. high adrenaline rides like the Corkscrew and Cyclone were not yet open, so we ended bumping each other with bumper boats! hahaha. something like this.
My top 5 rides- in order of level of enjoyment/ thrill
1. Space Shot
2. Corkscrew
3. Flying Coaster
4. Pirate Ship
5. Cyclone
we spent quite a bit at the carnival games too! played this fish-the-duck game which was basically to fish out ducks with numbers written below. 0 for no prize and 3 for the large prize. Ee lin was lucky! :) got a number 2 on her first try so she won some white bear that was like half balding. lol. lucky managed to change it to a brown one.
lunch was damn gayy.. went to this sort of cai fan place.. basically just pick the dishes and then proceed to pay. only thing is, you decide on the amount you want to take. So if the Indian cashier guy happy, he'll count as you take one serving. if he not happy, he'll count it as two servings. you also lan lan. LOL. so my plate had nasi briyani rice, sardines, and ginger chicken (which he counted as two servings). oh yes plus one coconut. how much did it cost? very cheap, only RM 38! most expensive cai fan I've ever eaten lol. they also quite sneaky, never really put the price beside the dish/ drink menu. though it's written up on the wall, it's quite small and troublesome for people to look while taking their food so no one really bothered. tio con...! but it's okay, we learn. :)
the turning point was probably the Java Chip we had at Starbucks after that.. my voice started to go, also probably because of the shouting on the rollercoasters and the lack of sleep as well. damn wasted I couldn't join in the singing that evening at Be-a-Star karaoke. lol! but I had fun watching Ee lin, Shalynn and Bel give Rongjun singing lessons! allez rj, there's improvement! :D quite reasonably priced as well. about $17 our money per person? plus a bottle of vodka and mixers and 3+ hours of karaoke. :) Bel had fun belting out super high songs as well! imba.
the hotel room was quite comfortable.. only joke was that you could enter the toilet through the sliding cupboard even when the toilet door is locked! I wonder if they only realised it after they built the hotel or it was meant to be that way. lol. everyone basically KO-ed last night. all the way from 3 to 11 plus in the morning. we ended up not having enough time to go try that skydiving thing, but we had some yummy buffet lunch! RM 59 per person but I happily paid the money, unlike that RM 38 lunch the day before. haha. we practically spammed the salmon! think the chef also smiling. lol. :)
if we had more time.. or if there's a next time...
1. skydiving thing!
2. casino!
3. bowling
4. rock-climb for fun
5. movie
