the birthday wishes!
many thanks to all who wished me for my birthday! how ironic... one of the most quiet birthdays I've had so far, studying in hall and all, but yet one of the warmest I've felt with the numerous facebook messages and smses. :) thank you all...! :D
just had a random thought about our childhood.. I think our generation of children (as in the generation I was born in) can be considered quite fortunate as compared to those born in the early 1980s or later parts of the 1990s.. I think we are sort of like born in the transition period of the two. well for my generation we still played fun games like marbles, crocodile, catching and ice & water during primary school, had cartoons like the Lion King, Captain Planet and X-Men to watch, and we didn't get handphones until we were in secondary school or something so I think we are able to appreciate them better.. look at the kids nowadays.. getting I-Phones when they are only in primary school. Their parents are really spoiling them.. lol. and the cartoons nowadays like cannot make it. or maybe it's because I've passed that phase so I can't really enjoy the cartoons as much as last time. haha. anyway..
two down and three more to go! allezzzz..
I'm 21 already! cannot believe it myself. haha. can go Genting casino LOL. need Ms Ho Ee Lin the pro to bring us around some day. :D
brings back memories listening to this song! one of my favourite cartoon movies of all-time: The Lion King. :)
The Circle of LIFEFrom the day we arrive on the planet
And blinking, step into the sun
There's more to be seen than can ever be seen
More to do than can ever be done
Some say eat or be eaten
Some say live and let live
But all are agreed as they join the stampede
You should never take more than you give
In the Circle of Life
It's the wheel of fortune
It's the leap of faith
It's the band of hope
Till we find our place
On the path unwinding
In the Circle, the Circle of Life
Some of us fall by the wayside
And some of us soar to the stars
And some of us sail through our troubles
And some have to live with the scars
There's far too much to take in here
More to find than can ever be found
But the sun rolling high
Through the sapphire sky
Keeps the great and small on the endless round
(Chorus repeats)
On the path unwinding
In the Circle, the Circle of Life.
